How to reset the Headquarters(HQ) password

CyberPatrol • 22 June 2015

CyberPatrol is an Internet security product that is protected by the HQ password. The HQ password is created by the person who installed CyberPatrol. There is a 'hint' option (also created by the person who installed CyberPatrol) to help you remember the HQ password.

Unfortunately, the HQ password is not something we keep on file and we have no way of verifying whether the requestor of the password is truly the CyberPatrol administrator. To preserve the quality of our service we have to be extremely vigilant when dealing with password requests.

The following information is required for verification in order to reset or bypass the HQ password:

1.    Name and email address on the account
2.    Contact phone number (Specify a suitable time to call between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US ET)
3.    License ID
4.    Support Code

To locate the license ID:

1. Launch the CP toolbar by clicking on Start > All Programs > CyberPatrol > Headquarters. Click on ‘About’ button.

2. Click on View Subscription Details button:

To generate the Support Code:

There are two ways to generate the Support Code:

A. If you are attempting to access the Headquarters, click on Start > All Programs > CyberPatrol > Headquarters. Click on Open HQ button on the toolbar. Click on “Forgotten your password?” button.

B. If you are attempting to uninstall the software, click on Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (or Uninstall a Program). Locate CyberPatrol and click on 'Remove/Uninstall'. Click on “Forgotten your password?” button when prompted for HQ password.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to leave the Support Code window open until we respond with a Support Response Code because the Support code changes each time the 'Forgotten your password?' button is pressed.

Note: You can copy and paste the support code.

All of the required information needs to be submitted to Support via online form available at home/contact-form/
