SiteCAT Categorization Statistics
Crawlers from our SiteCAT content engine find over 250 new web domains an hour. Each site is scanned and and categorized. Through that process, we have a unique perspective on what types of sites are being developed and for what purpose.

CyberPatrol proactively scans the Internet looking for sites using our proprietary SiteCAT Engine. Through the use of industry leading domain classification algorithms, we crawl and analyze domains twenty four hours a day. Our customers receive updates as quickly as 15 minutes from the time the threat is detected.

New Harmful Sites
Harmful sites come in many different forms and are created constantly on the Internet. The total number of new harmful web sites created each day is summarized by Average New Harmful Sites Detected Daily.

Additional Statistics
CyberPatrol discovered 7,279 new porn sites during the month of September 2008. This trend is actually down from previous months.

CyberPatrol is currently tracking over 990,000 porn and adult industry domains. We revisit them multiple times per month in an effort to determine if they have added new sites to their adult networks.

CyberPatrol located 7,232 new Parked Domains during the month of September 2008. These domains may be used by spammers and phishing systems to hide data behind. We typically see a large spike just prior to some type of phishing or email attack. The number of new Parked Domains is actually down from previous months. We are currently tracking over 750,000 active Parked Domains in our system.
