If you are aware of sites that you always want to block regardless of how CyberPatrol would normally filter them, you can by enter the website URL or keywords in CyberPatrol. This ensures CyberPatrol will always block a site with a particular URL, or a URL containing particular words.
To use a website URL to block specific sites:
- From the Options Menu, click Customize Filter Settings, Web, Sites Blocked.
- Ensure you have the correct user profile selected in the User list box at the top of the Sites Blocked screen.
- Ask yourself the following question: “Do I want this website to be blocked for this user only or for everyone who has a profile?”
- To add a site to a particular profile use the top pane of the My Blocked Sites screen. To add a site to every profile use the bottom pane of the My Blocked Sites screen.
- Click the Add button by the relevant pane and enter the Web address of the website that you want to block into the dialog that follows.
- Click OK.
The address of the website appears in the website pane with a red icon beside it to show that it is a Blocked website.
- Click Save.
