You can create user profiles that are completely independent of your Windows user accounts. These profiles are useful in the following circumstances:
- You are not using Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista so there are no Windows user profiles available for CyberPatrol to link to.
- You prefer to have just one Windows profile to log into the computer but would like each user to have their own CyberPatrol user profile.
- You want to create a CyberPatrol user profile on a temporary basis and you do not want to have to create a Windows user profile at the same time.
- From the Options Menu, double-click Welcome to CyberPatrol, then Manage User Profiles.
- In the Manage User Profiles screen, click Create User.
- If a dialog informs you that CyberPatrol has detected Windows User Profiles and asks if you want to link to them, click No.

- Enter a name and password for this user profile into the New User Profile dialog. Do not select the Windows User Name Integration check box.

- Click Next.
- Set the filtering and monitoring level for this user.
- Click Next.
You will now see a summary of the settings for this user:

- Click Finish.
The profile appears in the User Profiles section of the Manage User Profiles screen:

- Choose an image from the Blocking Style list box and click Preview to see what this page will look like when it appears in front of the user. As a safety mechanism, CyberPatrol automatically sets the Switch to Default option to the Default user profile after a certain length of time. For more information, see the Switch to Default section below.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) If you want to make an instant copy of this user profile, click the Duplicate User button. You can then edit parts of this new profile, if needed.
