EXAMPLES OF INSTANT OVERRIDE USE

Time Management
You can give a teenager access to Instant Override without a password, but at the same time, make sure that Monitoring is enabled. This lets you give the young person a certain amount of freedom with an element of trust. You can also find out if they are abusing this privilege, by surfing for a longer time than allowed, by checking the reports in the Monitor.

Web Filtering
You can offer Instant Override with a password in an a library or school environment. This means anyone who is blocked from a site, but feels they need access, can ask for you to enter the password. This allows you to check if the site is suitable. If access is required for research on sites that are normally restricted, you could then give the password to the user. However, we would recommend that you change the password frequently if you decide to do this.
