The Headquarters Password

When you install CyberPatrol, the Installation Wizard prompts you to create a Headquarters password, as well as a password hint in case you should forget the password. Since the HQ password provides access to the CyberPatrol Headquarters Control Panel where you manage user profiles, you will need to keep the password private to avoid any unauthorized access and possible modfications being made to your filtering choices. After the initial set up of CyberPatrol, you must supply the HQ password each time you access the program. If you forget the password, you can use the Hint button to help you remember it. You can also change the HQ password by clicking Extended Features in the Options Menu, and then clicking

Change Passwords.
The Instant Override Password The Instant Override password gives a user unlimited access to the Internet and all programs, overriding any filtering or program restrictions that may be defined in their user profile. This password should be given out only on an as-needed basis and changed frequently.

The User Password

The User Password lets enables a user to switch to their own user profile. If your computer has been connected to the Internet but has been idle beyond the Switch to Default time setting, the Default user profile will be in effect for the next user. The user can easily switch the user profile to their own using their own user password. You set the user's password when you create their CyberPatrol user profile.
