Uninstalling CyberPatrol Version 5.x

 

Follow the Directions Carefully


Important Information:
CyberPatrol is a security program and failure to uninstall the program as directed below will result in lost Internet access. To remove the program you must use the Uninstall option within the CyberPatrol program. Please do not attempt to delete files you consider are associated with CyberPatrol. If you experience difficulties with uninstalling, please contact the CyberPatrol Technical Support team.  

 

Version 5.x

 

CyberPatrol cannot be properly removed by deleting files or using a third party uninstall program. To properly remove CyberPatrol use the Uninstall option built into the program. If files have already been deleted, re-install the product to repair these files then run the Uninstall option.

 

1. Begin the un-installation of CyberPatrol by either:

 

Right-clicking on the CyberPatrol icon on the Windows task bar and choosing Uninstall from the pop-up menu.

 

Choosing Start, followed by Programs then CyberPatrol - Windows. There is an Uninstall Cyber Patrol option in this menu.

 

Choosing Start, followed by Settings then Control Panel, and double-clicking Add/Remove Programs.

 

 

2. However you decide to uninstall CyberPatrol, you will be asked for the Headquarters password before the Uninstall program will run. Enter the password.

 

Note: the Headquarters password should have been created by whoever installed the software as this is part of the installation process. We have noticed, however, that a large number of customers do not set a password during the installation. In these situations, leaving the password blank then clicking OK will allow access.

 

3. Click Next and the un-installation of CyberPatrol will begin.

 

4. Restart the computer when this process is finished.

 

CyberPatrol should now be removed from your computer. To reinstall CyberPatrol, download the latest version - do not reinstall version 5 as this version is no longer supported. If you have any subscription remaining, contact our Customer Service team. They will issue you with a replacement code to register the new software.

 

Where do I download the newest version of CyberPatrol from?

 

If you have forgotten the password or the person that installed the product is not available, you will need to contact Technical Support for further instruction. Be sure to specify that you are attempting to uninstall version 5. .
